报告人简介:朱建华博士毕业于美国普渡大学,现为马里兰大学植物科学和园艺系副教授。长期从事植物应答非生物胁迫分子机理方面的研究。
 
报告摘要:As a sessile organism, plants have to cope with various environmental abiotic stress conditions, such as cold, heat, drought, and salinity. In order to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the molecular mechanisms by which plants utilize to deal with these devastating abiotic stresses, we performed several genetic screens and characterized protein-coding and non-protein coding genes that are critical for plant responses to abiotic stresses. I will focus my talk on plant responses to cold, heat, salinity, and ABA. As you will see through my talk, plants have designed dedicated strategies to protect themselves from damages resulted from their ever-changing physical environments.
