姜里文教授,1984年于华南农业大学获学士学位;1992年于University of British Columbia获硕士学位;1996年获得Simon Fraser University博士学位;2000年开始任香港中文大学生物系助理教授;现任香港中文大学生命科学学院教授、细胞与发育生物学中心主任。同时,现在是Plant Cell 等多个刊物的副主编或编委。主要研究方向是蛋白质的定位和转运、植物细胞内吞和胞吐、细胞器动力学与生物发生;在PNAS、Nature Communication、 Nature Plants、Plant Cell、Molecular Plant、Autophagy、Trends in Plant Science等期刊发表了近百篇有影响力的学术论文。姜教授多次荣获中大理学院模范教学奖、中大优秀科研成果奖、国家教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖、中大理学院杰出学人及中大卓敏生命科学教授席等教学与科研奖。
报告内容简介:
Membrane trafficking and organelle biogenesis play important roles in plant growth and development, as well as responses to external signals. The plant endomembrane system contains several functionally distinct membrane-enclosed organelles, including the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network (TGN) or early endosomes (EE), prevacuolar compartment (PVC) or multivesicular body (MVB) and vacuole. The COPII vesicles have been known to mediate ER to Golgi traffic, whereas the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) machinery mediates the formation of intraluminal vesicles (ILVs) of MVBs and regulates MVB-mediated protein sorting to vacuole in plants. In this talk, I will summarize and update our recent studies on the biogenesis and function of COPII vesicles and MVBs in plants. Supported by Research Grants Council of Hong Kong and CUHK.
