2015年9月11日，澳大利亚墨尔本皇家植物园（Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria）Josephine Milne博士和澳大利亚麦考瑞大学（Macquarie University) Alison Jean Downing博士应我院朱瑞良教授的邀请访问我院，她们在生命科学学院作了三场报告，题目分别为“Achievements and challenges of herbaria in Australia, in particular the National Herbarium of Victoria (MEL)”，“Liverwort Tree of Life - Monocarps and Austroriella from Western Australia”，“ Bryophytes as fine scale indicators of vegetation condition in cool temperate Nothofagus moorei rainforest of eastern Australia”。她们向听众介绍了标本馆建设和管理的成就，苔类植物新属的发现以及澳大利亚绿潮以及苔藓的雨林指示方面的最新研究成果。报告结束后，听众就感兴趣的问题与二位报告人展开了热烈的讨论，听众颇受启发。在访问我院期间，他们还参观了生物博物馆和苔藓植物学实验室，并高度赞扬了我院在生物标本馆建设方面的杰出工作。
